Our very own UK Athletics qualified coach Mike is kindly writing a series of articles for the club aimed at different aspects of the sport.

The May 2009 issue of Runners World featured an article on running in Cardiff, to complement this article we have collated the following resources to assist you on running these routes and running in Cardiff.
Well done to all who turned out for the club enabling us to enter 5 teams for the Self Transcendence 3 x 1 mile relays in Bute Park, Blackweir. A good evening was had by all at the event organised by Run and Become of Cardiff.
Sally, Vicky and Angela were 1st ladies team, Steve, Ed and Jerome finished 3rd overall, Angela, Dominic and Steve were 1st mixed team. Plus some great times by all our members, two in particular being Mark Ryan running 7:26 and new member Vicky debuting with a 6:31.

Only one downside to the evening - the blue vests outweighed the white vests 12 to 4, don't people realise that the 'white ones' are faster :-)
Some say he races too often, some say he swims 5K in the Taff after every ParkRun! We only know him as 'The Saint!'
Congratulations to Dominic for setting two new club records in 2008. Firstly he achieved 100 races between spring 2007 and summer 2008. Secondly, he has run 98 races in 2008!
This includes road, multi-terrain, cross-country and Parkrun 5K events. However, I think the total should include the Club Handicap series which means a total of 106 races in 2008.
Well done Dominic!
Endurance running let us evolve to look the way we do.
The San Domenico South Wales results and photo archive - one of our past members (Kenny) has passed on to us a selection of results from the 1980's and 1990's - there will be more to follow, as it seems Kenny's loft is insulated with old results and photos!
The first batch is now online, click 'The Kenny files' on the 'top' menu.
