The San Domenico 20 Mile Road Race

San Domenico Road Runners announce the return of the 'San Domenico 20 Miler'.
The race is 3 weeks before the London marathon, as well as being useful for other spring marathons, such as:
Paris marathon: 15th April 2007
Boston marathon: 16th April 2007
Lochaber marathon: 22nd April 2007
Tresco marathon: 22nd April 2007
Shakespeare marathon: 29th April 2007
Neolithic marathon: 6th May 2007
Three Forts marathon: 6th May 2007
Halstead & Essex marathon: 13th May 2007
South Down's marathon: 13th May 2007
Course information (see map here[900Kb]):
- Probably the most enjoyable and picturesque 20 mile course in South Wales!
- A scenic, mainly off road route using the ‘Taff Trail’ (tarmacadam cycle path)
- Accurately measured, gently undulating route with some (three) short climbs
- Start & finish at Rhydycar Leisure Centre
- Excellent Training Race for all Spring Marathons
- Category Prizes - memento for all finishers
- Changing / Showers / Refreshments / Parking / Baggage Area
- First Aid Provision / Frequent water stations (water stations planned at 3.8 / 7.1 / 10.5 / 14 / 17.4 miles)
- Race Entry Limit (400) – No entries on the day if race limit is reached
- Course not suitable for wheelchair athletes
- Run under AAW rules, Race Permit applied for
